Dr Dawn Harper

Dr Dawn Harper is a leading media medic best known for her work on Channel 4′s award winning Embarrassing Bodies. She is also a resident doctor on ITV's This Morning hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Dr Dawn Harper is a qualified and highly experienced GP in Gloucestershire, running specialist clinics focusing on women's health, preventative medicine and weight management. She has been working as a media doctor for over 15 years and her ability to simplify complex medical issues has made her an extremely sought-after medical commentator, expert and public speaker.

Dawn's TV credits include Embarrassing Bodies on Channel 4 and the BAFTA winning Embarrassing Bodies Online, Looking Good, Feeling Great on ITV1 and Who'll Age Worst on UKTV. She also regularly appears on The Wright Stuff on Five, This Morning on ITV1, Women's Hour on BBC Radio 4, and is the resident doctor on BBC Radio 1's The Surgery. She writes for Fresh Ideas, Healthspan, ZEST, Healthy Magazine and is Now Magazine's health expert. Her first book, Dr Dawn's Health Check, was published in 2007 by Mitchell Beazley.

She trained at Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in London, then spent several years working in hospital specialities during which she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians before then starting a family and moving into general practice. Her formal qualifications are Medical Batchelor, Batchelor of Science, Member of the Royal College of Physicians, Diploma of Child Health, Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning.

Dr Dawn Harper is an excellent public speaker both hosting and chairing conferences on a range of medical topics . She is often booked to give keynote presentations at conferences on a range of medical topics and also in-demand for corproate dinners where she speaks amusingly on health related current affairs and hospital humour.
