Declan Curry

Declan Curry is one of the most recognisable business journalists on British television. He's been writing and speaking about business and the economy for more than two decades, and was the business presenter on BBC Breakfast for eight years. He also presented BBC2's Working Lunch from 2008 alongside Naga Munchetty, and for four years from 2010 he presented "On The Money", his weekly review of business, the economy and enterprise for BBC Radio 5 live until 2014.

Declan has reported on business and money for BBC One's evening news programme, The One Show, presented documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and has made documentaries and live studio discussion programmes for BBC television in Northern Ireland. He has won several awards for his broadcasting, including IFA Journalist of the Year (Television), ABI Financial Journalist of the Year and Proshare Financial Personality of the Year.

As an event host and speaker, Declan now chairs conferences, facilitates panel discussions, and comperes awards ceremonies, around the UK and internationally. He speaks with the authority and clarity of an experienced working journalist; having been a writer and broadcaster for more than twenty years, specialising in business and the economy.

Declan has been published in newspapers and magazines in the UK, Europe and the United States. He wrote a regular column for the FT's "Investors' Chronicle" magazine.

He has won several awards for his broadcasting, and is an honorary doctor of Middlesex University.

Declan Curry is an event facilitator, conference chair, speaker and awards host. He has been a business and economics journalist for more than twenty years. He works with a wide range of companies, trade associations, local Chambers of Commerce, academic bodies and charitable organisations. He has chaired events around the UK and in New York, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro and Kuala Lumpur.

Recent clients span manufacturing, engineering, energy, information technology, banking, financial services, property, law and business services. They include FTSE 100 companies, privately owned businesses and family firms.

Events can be for internal communications, or facing outwards to clients, customers or other stake holders. He is a regular moderator for the Global Economic Symposium, and has chaired sessions at the World Economic Forum at Davos.
