Dame Laura Davies is the former world number one in women's golf. She is a winner of a number of accolades including: 87 worldwide tournaments, 20 on the American LPGA Tour, and 45 on the Ladies European Tour. She is a 4 time major championship winner including the biggest tournament in women’s golf, the US Women’s Open. She is also a winner of two senior major championships.

Dame Laura Davies is a member of the World Golf Hall Of Fame and an honorary member of St Andrews. She has played in a record 12 Solheim Cup's for team Europe, and has been Vice Captain on three winning teams, in 2019, 2021 and 2023. She was the first golfer, male or female to win tournaments on five continents in one year.

In 2014, Queen Elizabeth II made her a Dame for her services to golf.
