Winner of Best International Act at the 2017 New Zealand Comedy Festival
Rich Wilson started his comedy career by performing at all of the UK’s major comedy clubs honing his talent for 10 years. Such is his success that he has remained a steadfast presence on the British comedy circuit ever since.
Rich has performed around the world, including multi award winning, sell out shows at the biggest comedy festivals such as Melbourne, Perth and New Zealand. In 2017 Rich won “Best International Act” at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and was nominated for the same award the following year.
His 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show “Death Becomes Him” landed Rich another comedy award for “Best show of the Festival” with Just Be Botanicals. Rich has worked as a TV warm up, including on ITV’s Loose Women and has been the tour support for Kevin Bridges, Rob Beckett, Jayde Adams and Clinton Baptiste.
An in demand live performer, Rich also has TV writing credits include working for the BBC, Sky Arts and Channel 4 on various projects with his partner Jayde Adams, and numerous acting credits too.
Rich is the host of the podcast Insane In The Men Brain. He talks to funny and interesting people about their experiences with mental health, and features interviews with Heston Blumenthal, Nicholas Pinnock, Michael Smiley, and Scroobius Pip among others. An wildly popular podcast, he has earned himself an award for “Best Podcast” with JOE and gained a nomination for “Best Social Conscience Podcast” at the Podbible Poll Winners Awards.
