As the outgoing Chairman of the MAA I felt I had to write to express my gratitude at such a great evening in the hope that you will pass this on to Russell Kane. As a “veteran” of over 20+ years of Awards I can assure you that this ranked up their as one of the best, if not the very best, and a lot of that has to go down to the performance on the night. The fact that he had spent several years in the dark side of “Agency world” made it even more interesting as nearly all of the audience shared his many observations re the industry... and the characters involved.
Many comics feign weirdness, but this is the closest to the real deal: a breathless, raging, feral act... Probably the most exciting comic discovery of the year.
Russell Kane's level of ability is amazing... His act combines huge energy and a freak physicality with a rapidly delivered torrent of remarks... Here's a performer with the instincts of a rabble-rouser.
Could you please pass on my thanks to Russell Kane for hosting my Cooling Industry Awards event last night. His pacing of the Awards announcements and handling of the detail - particularly the many names - was excellent and he sustained the energy through to the end. He thoroughly fulfilled the brief for me, and continued our reputation for putting on the very best comics while they are on the way up... If you can let him know that I arrived in the office to be greeted by taunts of 'Alpha Male' that will be sufficient testimony to the success of the evening..."
Thank you – we had such a fab night – Russell Kane was hilarious I actually gave myself a headache from laughing so much

Russell Kane was absolutely brilliant. Very professional as always. He was extremely understanding about the circumstances. Instead of performing on a nice big outdoor stage with all the technical facilities he had to have his gig indoor in a much smaller area, people standing, etc. Everything was due to a major thunder storm that washed away everything...
We were really pleased with Russell Kane: he was amazingly professional, and really cared about getting the very best out of the event, making loads of suggestions during the rehearsal for how we could make things better. Top bloke. So please pass on our thanks. Let's do it again sometime!
