In 2022, singer-songwriter Sam Ryder represented the UK at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. He finished in second place for a record-extending sixteenth time, with his self-penned song Space Man.
Sam started posting music covers on TikTok during the first lockdown of the Covid pandemic in March 2020. By March 2022, two years later, the BBC had internally chosen him to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest a few months later.
Today, Sam is touring the world, and has performed multiple times on the big stage including HM the Queen’s Jubilee and the British Grand Prix.
