Tracey Neville MBE

Tracey Neville is a former England netball international and a former England head coach. As a player, she was a member of the England teams that won bronze at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and 1999 World Netball Championships.

As a head coach, she guided Manchester Thunder to Netball Superleague titles in 2012 and 2014. Between 2015 and 2019 Tracey served as England’s Head Coach. She was initially appointed as an interim coach, however, after guiding England to the bronze medal at the 2015 Netball World Cup, the appointment was made permanent.

Tracey guided England to the 2015, 2016 and 2017 European Netball Championships. She was also instrumental in England’s first ever gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, days after suffering a miscarriage.

Coming from a family of successful sporting personalities, she is the twin sister of Phil and younger sister of Gary, former England and Manchester United footballers, and received an MBE in the 2016 New Year Honours list for services to netball.

In 2019, Tracey and Phil both coached England women's national teams to the semi-final stages of the 2019 Netball World Cup and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup respectively. After the World Cup, Tracey announced she was retiring from Netball in order to start a family.

After the birth of her son Nev, Tracey turned her focus to public speaking, appearing at many conferences, including the iconic Sports Leaders, and became a regular pundit and co-commentator for Sky Sports.

In 2022, she returned to netball, re-joining her former Vitality Netball Superleague franchise, Manchester Thunder, as a Board Member and Performance and Operations Director.
