Viggo Venn

Viggo Venn is a London-based Norwegian comedian, entertainer and the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2023. Since 2016, he has toured the world with his high-energy act including performances in Europe, the USA and Australia; establishing himself as a well-known name on the global comedy circuit.

A rising star in the entertainment world, in 2022, Viggo Venn won the prestigious Top of the Bill award at NATYS (New Act of the Year) and was runner-up in the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2022. And, in early 2023, he made it to the final of the Beat the Frog World Series, run by the Manchester Frog and Bucket comedy club.

However, everything changed in spring 2023 when Viggo took part in Britain’s Got Talent and, to the surprise of many, saw off some stiff competition including dancer Lillianna Clifton and Irish magician Cillian O'Connor to take the top prize with a 22.5% share of the votes.

Viggo won over the 3,000-strong Hammersmith Apollo audience and British public’s affections with his catchy trademark routine of dancing to Daft Punk’s One More Time whilst removing layer-upon-layer of hi-vis jackets. BGT judge, Bruno Tonioli described him as “one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean”.

Far from being the class clown at school, Viggo was actually the class economist! After dropping out of studying for a university degree in Economics, Viggo cut his comedy teeth with Oslo-based improv group Lausungene, then studied at the prestigious theatre school Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris — alma mater to Sacha Baron Cohen and double Oscar-winner Emma Thompson.

Veggo Venn comes from Kongsberg, a small mining town and ski resort in the mountains about an hour west of Oslo, but has since lived in London for several years.
