Dave Sharp’s unique skill to create huge paintings on stage in just a few minutes has taken him years of practice – turning his passion for art into an exciting and dynamic stage experience. He has performed around the world enthralling audience with his speed paintings of icons, athletes, presidents, CEOs, cars, animals and company products.

Dave has painted for A-list celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Parkinson, Fernando Alonso and many more. TV appearances include Britain's Got Talent, BBC breakfast, Blue Peter and This Morning. Dave also performs at festivals, cruise ships, corporate events and small private parties. His ability to entertain his audiences through his high energy performances, have kept him in high demand.

It has taken him around the world with notable tours in the USA and Canada. He's also used it to help raise over £900,000 towards charity.

Audience engagement is important to Dave and each performance is also designed to create a sense of anticipation that can keep everyone guessing until the final reveal.

Through his refined techniques and years of experiences, Dave is able to learn each subject he paints completely off by heart! He will sketch, paint, film and rehearse each element of the performance until they all fit together and are ‘show ready’.

It is common for the client to request bespoke pieces to cater to the event, but he also has a large library of iconic paintings that are used to fit all types of events. Part of his progression lies in building up the paintings so that the audience is left guessing for as long as possible. This technique often comes through upside down paintings and also a new development which begins with a secondary image such as a logo, animal, sports car etc., and is later transformed into the finished piece.
