Stuart Goldsmith is an internationally award-winning comedian, writer, podcaster, host and speaker.
Throughout his career, Stuart has performed multiple critically acclaimed stand-up tours across the world including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Stuart’s comedy special Like I Mean It was subsequently placed in the top 20 of over 1,000 shows at the Edinburgh Festival.
In 2012, Stuart launched the now hugely popular podcast, The Comedian’s Comedian, which uncovers the creative process and personal development of over 400 of the best comedians in the world. Since its launch, the show has amassed over 20 million downloads with interviewees including Russell Kane, Brett Goldstein and Jayde Adams.
In addition to his TV credits which include Alan Davies' As Yet Untitled and Russell Howard's Stand Up Central, in 2019, Stuart made his US television debut performing stand-up on the hit chat show Conan, hosted by comedy icon Conan O'Brien.
Alongside his work as a comedian, Stuart has also built a reputation as a speaker, both as a host of corporate events and through his Resilience Presentation, a business-focused session built around how to cultivate resilience and authenticity.
Resilience Presentation
Much like CEOs, comedians are simultaneously the most powerful and the most vulnerable person in the room. A full-time professional comic, Stuart also hosts the Comedian's Comedian podcast ("absolutely riveting" - Guardian), a forensic investigation into the habits and processes of some of the world’s greatest international comics.
Taking everything he has learnt about the cultivation of resilience, problem-solving under pressure, and the creative process, Stuart uses this to make a tangible difference to your approach to business, with a fun and
inspiring presentation stuffed with useful tools you can start using right away.
Exploring what Stuart refers to as the "sharp" end and the "blunt" end of resilience; how to cope with both the piercing crisis itself, and the dull thud of the aftermath, this presentation can help businesses in finance, software development, the charity sector and many more.
