Hosted by award-winning Scottish actor Alan Cumming, The Traitors US returns to our screens tomorrow on BBC Three and BBC One.
Joining the cast of US reality stars for series two, is former Speaker of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon John Bercow.
The Traitors is a murder-mystery gameshow which sees several contestants chosen to become ‘traitors’, capable of killing off rivals in a bid to secure a large cash prize. Filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands – the same venue that hosts the British version – John Bercow features alongside other celebrities including professional heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilde, The Real Housewives of Miami's Larsa Pippen, Bling Empire star Kevin Kreider and Maksim Chmerkovskiy from Dancing With The Stars.
John may seem an unlikely choice alongside a roster of US reality stars, but clips of him moderating debates in the House of Commons and PMQs has made him somewhat of a cult figure in the US. In a previous interview he gave with The American, magazine John commented: "Whenever I travel to the US, people say to me how much they enjoy watching our PMQs – and how they wished they had something similar."
The Traitors US lands as a boxset on BBC iPlayer on 12 June 2024, and then be shown on both BBC Three and BBC One. The show will be available on BBC One as double-bills on Wednesday nights at 10.40pm for 6 weeks from the 12 June.
